Voltare We are Voltare. Sam Lawrence, Dylan Fuentes, and Victoria Blair. We are a Lo-Fi, garage rock band. We are originally for Orange County, but moved to Chico, Ca for school. Because we couldn’t get any shows in town, we decided to focus on recording. Since we are broke-ass college students, we couldn’t afford to go to a studio. We have been in other bands and recorded in studios and always hate the sound we got. We wanted to be in control of our sound and not some pretentious studio person who doesn’t give a shit and just wants to get paid. So, we decided to do it ourselves. We did everything; the recording, mixing, artwork, folding the jackets, painting the CD’s, and the shrink-wrap. Anything we did not know how to do, we learned how to do it on the internet. It took four months, but we are very satisfied with our results. After a year of being in Chico, we are finally breaking out on to the scene. We just finished with our first album titled That’s Why Was, and having a CD release party in a few weeks. We are giving them away for free, so anyone who is interested please send us an email and we will send you one.
